As a self-starting UX/UI Designer, I bring the creative and organisational skills gained from delivering large scale events and offline brand experiences into the online world. I strive to understand how we use different products, why we have our biases, and who we are designing for, in order to target a specific customer base and improve the interaction with their device. With so much time spent on our devices - I enjoy making an impact in everyday lives.
Many events, projects, and brand experiences that I was working on were cancelled due to Covid-19, which has brought me a new motivation to explore other opportunities to create experiences. "Do I want to create experiences to express, impress, or for what purpose?" During lockdown in Yangon, I developed an interest in the ever increasing complexity in which experiences can be created online as well as off.
My training in stage design has equipped me with an eye for detailed design - from what the audience sees and touches to what they smell and hear. Of course, we focus on how things look, but I often find myself posing the question - how do all the other senses play their part in creating the holistic feeling of an “experience”.
Curious by nature, I take inspiration anywhere, anytime, from anyone! So I am always the friend and colleague to whom others come to when ideas are needed, be they artist or purely commercial. With time, I have learned (and am still learning) how to perfect my skills to run quick turn-around creative experiments such as decks, mood boards, storyboards, wireframes, and miniature models in testing out concepts.
I have worked with a huge variety of creative experts and technical individuals in the past. They have been; choreographers, musicians, composers, creative directors, graphic designers, photographs, production experts, and web developers. Working with different personalities and differently skilled people from around the world has taught me the importance of how collaboration is key to any successful piece of work.
